The simple answer: we leave all payment processing to the experts. I very much understand how we – as Caribbean people – are very skeptical about giving out card information. As a result, I wanted to make sure that such sensitive information was handled as safely as possible. In so doing, Caribbean Scholar legally operates as a Canadian company so that Stripe can handle all payments.
Who is Stripe?
Stripe offers online payments infrastructure that caters to both small companies and large enterprises. One of the best parts about working with this company is that they offer many ready made integrations. This way you can feel comfortable knowing that your transaction is being carried out through a proven and tested channel.
For us, Stripe fully integrates with the Caribbean Scholar learning management system so that we can easily accept and refund payments as requested by our customers. However, we do have a 30-day limit on the time to request a refund.

Caribbean Scholar Does Not Interact With Any Of Your Sensitive Information
We do not see, store or use any of your card information.
All card information is processed directly by Stripe who will use it to carry out the transaction for your subscription and nothing more. When you have completed the course, remember to cancel your subscription!
Your browser (Google Chrome, Firefox etc.) will store your card information for you in the case that you want to use it again. However, I’d like to reiterate that we have no access to this information whatsoever.
